Grade reports are meant to help track a student’s progress. By providing reports to students, the Cook School helps students take ownership of their own education.
Understanding the Process
All instructors of undergraduate courses must submit midterm grades for all students at the prescribed time based on the work done at that point. Students may access their midterm grades via Banner.
Exception: Eight week or shorter courses do not issue midterm grades.
Final grade reports are prepared the week after final exam week. Students may access their final grades via Banner. Students who require an official paper copy of their final grades for insurance purposes or other special needs may request a copy from the Office of the Registrar, DuBourg Hall 22.
Grade Point Average (GPA)
The cumulative grade point average (GPA) is determined by dividing the total grade points earned by the total credit hours attempted. All grades received during a student’s enrollment, for which grade points are indicated in the “Undergraduate Grading System” table, are included in the cumulative GPA. Grades for courses transferred from other colleges/universities are excluded.
