Service Leadership Program
The Service Leadership Program is rooted in our values at the Cook School by educating and inspiring students through learning modules, leadership workshops, coursework and community service.
About the Program
Since the Service Leadership program was founded in 1996 more than 100,000 hours of service have been completed. Students can volunteer from a variety of service sites in the St. Louis community including Big Brothers Big Sisters, Ronald McDonald House, Food Outreach and Third Baptist Church, Saint Louis University’s Campus Kitchen and many others.
To complete the program, students must fulfill the following requirements:
- 15 credit hours of coursework
- 300 hours of community service
- 3 learning modules
- 12 leadership workshops
“Of all of the groups I have participated in at SLU, Service leadership has been by far the most influential. This program has taught me so much about myself, others, and who I want to be in the future as a businesswoman. In addition to the educational benefits of the program, I have met some of my closest friends through Service Leadership.” Victoria Morman, Service Leader
