Saint Louis University’s Center for Entrepreneurship Presents the Winners of the 2017 Angels in the Outfield Pitch Deck Competition
The 2017 Angels in the Outfield pitch deck competitions winners were selected this past weekend during the final round of the competition. High school students from around the world submitted their ideas for the competition by video, and the top 10 finalists presented their ideas live to a panel of all-star judges at Gateway Grizzlies ballpark.
The 2017 Allsup High School Entrepreneurship Summer Academy, hosted by the Center for Entrepreneurship at the John Cook School of Business, kicks off July 24-28. This year’s group of high school students will have the opportunity to grow and learn from their peers, meet industry experts from the St. Louis community and collaborate with SLU faculty and staff.
Saint Louis University Center for Entrepreneurship Diamonds Accelerator Welcomes Spring Semester Cohort
On February 28 the Saint Louis University Blue Diamond Accelerator program welcomed two new students as part of the Spring semester cohort. During a meet and greet reception, Fred Pestello, Ph.D., president of Saint Louis University, welcomed the new students and paid homage to the legacy of pioneering and entrepreneurship that built Saint Louis University. Following his message, the new and current Blue Diamonds each shared a brief overview of their project or existing business.
The 12th annual Allsup Entrepreneurship Academy hosted by the John Cook School of Business Center for Entrepreneurship begins Monday, July 25. High school students interested in learning about what it means to be an entrepreneur can meet successful business owners, create and pitch their own business ideas, collaborate on teams and more – are invited to register.
The John Cook School of Business Center for Entrepreneurship recently hosted the third annual Chasing the Sun event where high school students from around the world team to solve problems. Each team presents the next with a set of problems to solve and the receiving team is tasked with developing entrepreneurial business solutions for those problems. Only 12 students from the St. Louis area were invited to participate in this elite event.
The Center for Entrepreneurship at Saint Louis University’s John Cook School of Business announces the finalists for SLU’s nationwide collegiate Pitch and Catch Competition as well as SLU’s High School Angels in the Outfield Competition. The competition is open to all college students around the country and St. Louis area high school students, and encouraged participants to submit a video for the chance to pitch their ideas in front of a panel of experts during a final competition on Sunday, April 24, at the Gateway Grizzly Ballpark.
GlobalHack, a St. Louis-based nonprofit focused on building better tech communities through software competitions, announced today that Saint Louis University will be the location for their first $1 million hackathon. The organization's milestone event - GlobalHack VI - will take place at SLU's Chaifetz Arena from Friday, October 21 to Sunday, October 23, 2016. Saint Louis University's John Cook School of Business serves as GlobalHack VI title sponsor.
January 19, 2015 — Saint Louis University School of Law’s Entrepreneurship and Community Development Clinic (ECD) and the John Cook School of Business and its Habitat for Neighborhood Business program have been awarded grant funding to support a pilot project known as the E Workshop Project. The project will focus legal and business support to neighborhood entrepreneurs in north St. Louis city and county.
