Cook School Welcomes High School Students during Annual Sports Business Academy
Last week the John Cook School of Business welcomed 30 high school students to the Third Annual Sports Business Summer Academy. The high school students from around the country had the opportunity to hear from sports business industry leaders and faculty, while also touring St. Louis Rams Park, Saddleback Stables, Chaifetz Arena, KMOX and more.
As part of the academy, the students worked on a group project focusing on social media and sports for the St. Louis Rams. Their hard work culminated with a presentation competition on Saturday, where they showcased their plan to the executives from the St. Louis Rams.
The academy is a unique opportunity for high school students to get a glimpse of life on SLU’s campus, as they stay in the residence halls, check out the dining options, visit the Simon Recreation Center and meet with faculty and current students.
The Cook School offers three summer academies each year as part of the Summer at SLU program. For additional information on the sports business academy, as well as our international business academy and Allsup summer academy, visit: business.slu.edu/summer.View All News
