Cook School Hosts International Jesuit Business School Conference

SLU faculty are invited to attend on campus events. Event Details: July 14 - July 16, John and Lucy Cook Hall, 3674 Lindell Blvd, St. Louis, MO, 63108 The John Cook School of Business, the International Association of Jesuit Business Schools (IAJBS) and the Colleagues in Jesuit Business Education (CJBE) will present “The World Forum: Sustainability and Business Practices — Implications for Our Schools” Sunday through Tuesday, July 14-16, at John and Lucy Cook Hall, 3674 Lindell Blvd.

The event serves as the 16th annual meeting of the CJBE and the 19th annual meeting of the IAJBS.

Faculty, deans and university presidents from around the world will be on the Saint Louis University campus to share papers and offer workshops on issues ranging from classroom teaching to initiatives expanding Jesuit business education in Africa and elsewhere.

There will also be forums hosted by Bloomberg, Sodexo, the St. Louis Cardinals and other organizations that are leaders in sustainability.

Featured speakers include:

Michael Garanzini, S.J., president of Loyola University Chicago; secretary for Higher Education for the Society of Jesus Robert J. Spitzer, S.J., founder of the Magis Center of Reason and Faith; president of the Spitzer Center for Ethical Leadership Andy Savitz, author of The Triple Bottom Line, Talent, Transformation and the Triple Bottom Line; founder of Sustainable Business Strategies Pedro Walpole, S.J., Chairman, head and director of research at Environmental Science for Social Change; member of the Jesuit Task Force on Ecology that produced “Healing a Broken World”
