Warren Buffett did not meet my expectation of what a ridiculously rich person would be like. He was friendly and inviting; he seemed to think he was a regular guy. His natural grace and distinguished persona seemed to come from his age and experience, not his wallet. “Money has utility, but only to a certain point,” he said, “People with ten houses are not living any happier than you are.” Why would he go to work if he doesn't need the money? He goes to work because he loves his job and is able to “paint his own painting” and be around people who appreciate what he does.
