Undergraduate

B.S. in Business Administration - Entrepreneurship Concentration

Entrepreneurship focuses on preparing individuals for personal and financial success through starting their own firm, taking their place in the management of the firm, or assuming a position of leadership as a corporate entrepreneur introducing new products or services.

 

B.S. in Business Administration - Leadership & Change Management Concentration

The Leadership & Change Management concentration at SLU’s Cook School focuses on both the human and organizational aspects of the workplace. Management education at the Cook School emphasizes motivating people with skill and insight.

 

Supporting Area in Entrepreneurship

Business majors may select Entrepreneurship as a Supporting Area if they choose not to select Entrepreneurship as their Concentration.

 

Supporting Area in Human Resource Management

Business majors may select Human Resource Management as a Supporting Area in addition to their Entrepreneurship concentration.

 

Supporting Area in Leadership and Change Management  

Business majors may select Leadership and Change Management as a Supporting Area if they choose not to select Leadership and Change Management as their Concentration.

 

Human Resource Management Minor for Non-Business Students

The minor in Human Resource Management provides undergraduate students outside the John Cook School of Business with the opportunity to develop an understanding of how business organizations realize that the quality of their workforce is one key way to build and sustain a competitive advantage in the fast-paced and rapidly changing business environment.


Graduate

MBA - Entrepreneurship Emphasis

An Entrepreneurship emphasis focuses on preparing MBA students for personal and financial success through starting their own firm, taking their place in the management of a family firm, or assuming a position of leadership as a corporate entrepreneur introducing new products or services.

 

MBA - Management Emphasis

A Management emphasis focuses on the human and organizational aspects of the workplace. Students who complete this emphasis will have studied individual and group behavior, organizational communication, leadership and motivation, organizational structures and cultures, managing conflict, change and innovation, and stress management.


Professional Development

Entrepreneurship Diplomate

The Diplomate program includes workshops, speakers, and competitions designed to help participants develop an understanding of and appreciation for entrepreneurial business.

 

Institute for Private Business

The Institute for Private Business (IPB) is a member-driven organization, committed to delivering resources that are relevant to the needs of family businesses and other closely held businesses.

 

Post MBA Certificate - Entrepreneurship Emphasis

The Post-MBA Certificate allows MBA graduates from SLU and other AACSB institutions to further their education in the following areas: Entrepreneurship, Finance, or Supply Chain Management.
