Dr. Denise Guithues Amrhein is an Associate Professor of Accounting at Saint Louis University. She specializes in the areas of managerial accounting and electronic business applications. In addition, she is engaged in research in other areas of accounting. Her international research includes the areas of exchange rates and foreign currency translation. Dr. Guithues Amrhein’s publications in this area have appeared in the Multinational Business Review. Her research also includes the areas of cash flows, bankruptcy prediction and financial benchmarking, particularly how they relate to ICSB Proceedings and the IBER Proceedings. Dr. Guithues Amrhein is also part of the writing team for a new text to be published by McGraw Hill in the area of small business management, SB20/20. She will author the video guide and the materials linking the packages CD-ROMs to the SB20/20 text. In addition to her teaching and research, Dr. Guithues Amrhein is a member of the Editorial Review Board for the Journal of Small Business Management and has been named editor of the John Cook School of Business Accounting Department Newsletter. She also enjoys her family, friends, church and community service.
