"Real" Elevator Pitch Competition

The annual ‘Real’ Elevator Pitch Competition is back, and once again, everyone’s invited. All college students are invited to enter SLU’s wild and crazy twist on the classic elevator pitch competition for a chance to win one of two grand prizes of cash and all-expenses paid trips.

Submissions open on October 31!
Record and Email Your Pitch Here!

Five years ago we decided to start our ‘Real’ Elevator Pitch competition with real students and real pitches on real elevators in the second tallest building in Missouri (One Met Square @ 40 stories) with real investors (net wealth last year was ~$2.2BB). After it proved to be one of the most successful competitions we created, we decided to continue on.

Just like last year, the competition is open to all colleges and universities, and we’re looking for pitches in two tracks: For-Profit Ideas and Not-For-Profit Ideas. Each track’s first place prize is cash and a trip to SXSW (South By Southwest) in Austin, TX in March 2017.

Do you have the next best idea? Can you pitch it in 30-seconds? Prove it!

Record your best pitch and upload it to YouTube or Instagram and email it to us. After that, you’re entered. We can’t make it any easier.

A blue-ribbon panel of judges will select the top 18 that will move on to the Final Round.

The 18 Finalists will be invited to One Met Square building in downtown St. Louis  to pitch to 30+ wealthy judges while riding up and down on 12 elevators.
