Teen Idea Dash
The Saint Louis University Center for Entrepreneurship’s Teen Idea Dash opens on August 29, 2017!
All high school students are invited to enter with a simple post to Instagram using the guidelines below by Tuesday, September 12th, 11:59pm (CST).
After the submission window closes, a panel of judges will select the top 20 ideas. The top 20 will have the opportunity to join us at the Teen Idea Dash at the Saint Louis City Museum on September 30 where they will race through the museum on an idea generating scavenger hunt, crafting as many ideas as possible for challenges posed by local entrepreneurs before time is up.
First place team members win $125 each. Second place team members win $100 each. Third place wins $75 each.

Here’s how to apply:
- Follow us on Instagram @SLU_ent
- Watch for our “problem” post on August 29th
- Come up with your best idea to solve the presented problem
- Post a photo of your idea on Instagram, and tag @SLU_ent using #SLUIdeaDash2017.
- Fill out this submission form.
- Watch for the announcement of the finalists on September 15th.
Q: Who’s eligible to enter?
A: Any high school student (9th grade-12th grade).
Q: How do I apply?
A: Follow us on Instagram and watch for the announcement of the First Round Problem on August 29th. Come up with an awesome idea to provide a solution to that problem. Post a photo of your idea description to Instagram by September 11th at 11:59 pm(CST). Tag @SLU_ent and use #SLUIdeaDash. Once you post, tag, and hashtag, you are entered!
Q: Can I submit more than one (1) entry?
A: Yes, you may submit as many entries as you’d like. Be sure to tag @SLU_ent and use #SLUTeenIdeaDash2016 in order to officially enter each idea.
Q: Can more than one person enter together?
A: No. You must enter individually.
Q: When will I know if I’m a finalist?
A: You will be notified by September 15th, which will give you almost (2) weeks to plan accordingly.
Q: Who are the first round judges?
A: The first round of judges consist of the Saint Louis University Entrepreneurship Team.

Q: If I’m selected as a finalist, who will be judging my ideas?
A: Although the judges change every year, you will be pitching ideas to local entrepreneurs. These entrepreneurs will be presenting you with real challenges facing their businesses and will select their favorite ideas.
